The Truth behind the Tattoo’s

Mikkel Kessler believes there is some mythical power behind the Viking Tattoo that he wears that covers his strongest punching arm. If you look at his website you will see that he has a write up about the artwork that covers him, but I am afraid it’s all in Danish so we cannot read his thoughts behind it.

Tattoo’s are either for show meaning pretty fashionable patterns that look good, or they signify something of importance to the person wearing them, they tell a story about the person – Once you have been inked it never comes off, so make sure you know what your having painted on your body before you are painted.

It is ironic considering Kessler’s fairy tales he has been speaking about Calzaghe because in reality the Tattoo which Kessler wears is of what looks like a Viking troll, a cartoon character from a fantasy fairy land where Viking trolls roam the earth. We all know that Viking trolls are the stuff of fantasy and mythical fiction, characters dreamed up in the fairy clouds where ‘Team Kessler’ sits dreaming about beating the Champion Joe Calzaghe, so the troll design is very fitting for Mikkel Kessler and his Viking fairy tales, its just we are not so stupid as to believe in his Viking fairy tales here in Britain.

The Tattoo’s have worked in scaring and intimidating weaker opponents throughout Kesslers career that’s why he boasts about them, but he and his painted fairy tale are no match for the humble ‘Gladiator’ who has arisen from the Welsh Valleys.

Joe Calzaghe is going to bring him back down to earth and back into reality with the rest of us on November 3rd, then he will wake up realizing his mythical fantasy figure isn’t going to wash of in the bath, he is stuck with the fairy tale painted on his body for the rest of his life.

At least he can add a picture of Calzaghe sleighing his troll as a memory of being brought back into reality when he visited the Gladiator from the Welsh Valleys.

“You cannot conquer the un-conquerable”

In sharp contrast Joe Calzaghe wears one Tattoo on his arm that he does not mention or boast about, a Cross designed in the Welsh Celtic style.

That design and artwork is no myth or fantasy, the Cross is the ‘Divine’ symbol of the Christian/Catholic Faith, it signifies an eternal power far greater than ourselves, some will say fantasy or myth but those who “believe” know the ‘Power of the Cross’ and ‘Team Calzaghe’ believe so know the Divine destiny of the one who wears that simple humble Cross every time he gets into that boxing ring.

Not only is Joe Calzaghe’s Tattoo a symbol of ‘Divinity’ it is also designed in the Celtic style of the Welsh people, so he signifies, glorifies and shows the strength of the people of little old Wales every time he steps into that ring on the World stage.

The whole world watches this legend from the Welsh Valleys.

That humble Tattoo signifies the heart and soul behind what makes Joe Calzaghe a special and unique World Class Boxing Champion and only time now will seal his legacy.

Kesslers Tattoo is a fairy tale where as Calzaghe’s is a reality.

Kessler is now Calzaghe’s doorway to 'destiny' and you cannot stop destiny…
